Cyber Shape Shifting - a computer version of 'Fuzzy Felts'

As a child I enjoyed playing with 'Fuzzy Felt' sets, making my own pictures and imagining the characters in my picture having adventures. As a parent I bought sets of felts for my children to play with and spent many a happy hour making pictures with them or discussing the ones they had made.

I therefore created these 'cyber' fuzzy felts for children (and the 'young at heart') to play with. They can be used on a whiteboard to tell a story or to get children involved in making a story up. They can also be used to occupy children on a computer, refining their mouse skills while employing their imagination.

The 'maths' one enables you to illustrate the meaning of the sums by using counters that can be dragged on and off the board.

Some have animations on some of the graphics. You just have to mouse-down on the piece you want to move and then slowly drag it to the desired position. The last one you put in place goes on top (as would be the case with felts!). If you want to bring a previous one to the fore, just click on it.

There is a tutorial on the main part of this site that instructs you on how to make a drag and drop Adobe Flash Asset - by yourself. Click here to take a look at it.

This Halloween Shape-Shifter contains different numbers of items - (1 to 10). The children can therefore use this as a Halloween counting exercise.
